CAIRforYou.com is a website dedicated to providing HEALTHY RESOURCES that show you how to develop your own inner coach - to help you live the best life possible.

Are there areas of your life where you desperately want to make healthy changes? Are you "sick and tired" of being "sick and tired"? Are you ready to make these changes, but don’t know how to start or what to do to successfully learn and grow? Would it be helpful to have a Coach who could help you approach the healing process in a way that produces the changes you want?

I have spent the past 30 years as a psychologist, experiencing people as they struggled to make healthy changes in their lives. I have had the opportunity to see thousands of examples of clients learning to deal successfully with problems that had robbed them of quality living. I would like to share with you this experience and wisdom about the change process, helping you build your own "Inner Coach."

CAIR stands for Changing Attitudes In Recovery. We define the term "Recovery" as "The process of building healthy esteem, of reclaiming lost ground, which allows health." Recovery includes accepting – and working with – issues such as chemical dependency, eating disorders, addictive behavior, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, co-dependency and troubled personal relationships. All of these problems have one thing in common – CHANGE IS POSSIBLE IN THE PRESENT! Learning how to approach the change process is what Therapeutic Coaching is all about.

Looking at the Twelve-Step tradition, Step One states "We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our lives had become unmanageable." Since these words were first written in 1939, the "First Step" concept has been applied to many different problem areas. We welcome you, regardless of what motivates your desire for change. Our focus is on Steps Two and Three in the Twelve-Step tradition: Step Two states "We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." and Step Three states "We have made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we understand Him."

We have developed two paths to help you with your adventure/journey into recovery: CAIR Self-Help Groups share the Twelve-Step tradition of a loving Higher Power; the CAIRing Grace Groups share a Christ-centered perspective. Both paths are free and open to anyone desiring healthy changes in their life. You are welcome to download our free material to help in your journey. There are also recovery-focused books and audio CD's available for purchase.
